Trump Administration Rescinds Roadless Rule, Eases Access for Timber Projects and Active Forest Management - Jun 27, 2025 


Eliminating the Roadless Rule will allow more decisions to be made at the local level. Preservationist groups are concerned that more logging activity and building more roads will lead to even more wildfire. While this is a major step toward more active forest management, there are still many steps in the process.; Summer 2025 Publishing Break: The staff of the Pallet Profile will not publish an issue next week July 4th, and will publish its next issue on July 11th.; APHIS Launches Dashboard for U.S. Data on Wood Packing Material and Holds Instructional Webinar; APHIS’ new dashboard allows users to make more informed decisions about where they source wood packing material. The creation of this dashboard is a significant step forward to prevent the introduction and spread of harmful pests. In addition, federal agencies are offering a webinar to be held on Thursday July 10th at 1:00 p.m. (EST).
