Forest Fires Plague Southeast - Nov 23, 2016
The biggest fire is in the Cohutta Wilderness in northern Georgia. It has burned 27,000 acres in more than a month and at press time is only 20 percent contained.; Update on Wire Rod for Pallet Nails: Prices rose to $400 in September, and continued to climb to $410 this November.; Arson Hits West Coast Pallet Plant: A fire recently broke out at Commercial Lumber and Pallet in City of Industry, Calif. It took firefighters about three hours to bring the flames under control.; OSHA Issues New Rule for Fall Hazards: In general, the rule requires employers to identify slip, trip and fall hazards and then provide fall protection, ranging from guard rails to tethered harnesses.
