The presidential proclamation to be issued on October 22nd offers an opportunity for wood products companies to tout the benefits of wood and promote our stewardship of national resources. For most pallet companies, this is just another week on the calendar. But what if you took a few steps to promote the benefits of wood to your employees, customers and community?; Chinese Plywood Subject to Duties: The ruling applies to hardwood plywood packaged as kitchen cabinets. According to the DOC, it is being sold at unfairly low prices in the United States. Going forward, it will be subject to duties unless it is packaged for sale to a consumer end-user.
