This is the fourth annual meeting which included speakers from the industry on a variety of personnel and HR topics as well as a plant tour of the L&R facility in Denver.; Pack Expo Highlights Corporate Sustainability Push: Reuse has been well established for pallets for decades. There was a limited presence from the pallet industry, though, with some plastic pallet suppliers and a few metal, corrugated and wood pallet displays.; Pooled Pallet Customers Share Insights: Most of these companies are major customers of CHEP, and they reported the primary reasons to prefer CHEP over other alternatives is pallet quality and availability.; Recycle Bits: Brambles released its first quarter update. American consumer spending slowed. U.S. exports of hardwood lumber to China have fallen. Brexit was on the agenda at the Timcon annual meeting.
