During the early days of he pandemic, FreightWaves reported that many ocean shipping companies reduced capacity. But this trend has swung the other way, as these companies are bringing more capacity online as prices rise.; Hurricane Laura Caused Huge Forestry Losses, Exceeds $1.1 Billion: Laura was more of a wind event, while Katrina and Rita brought flooding along coastal Louisiana. Infrastructure damaged by wind was the big factor this year, and crops were not as affected this year as in 2005.
