The U.S. economy is in a weird situation. As long as consumer spending remains strong, the Fed will have to keep on raising rates in order to quell inflation. A retail survey of consumers by research firm Near found that at least 75% of shoppers intend to spend at least the same amount in 2022 as they did last year during the holidays.; Despite Some Lower Input Prices, European Pallet Prices Remain Elevated: Some price pressures are even greater in Europe than they are in the United States.
